We have been looking at rocks and stones in science
did you know that some stones come from volcanos?

We went in are playground to see are shadows at 10.00am we saw that are shadows were tall and at 11.00am they had shrunk. And at 1.4pm they had shrunk again even more because the sun was on top of us.

We made monsters out of egg boxs and use pneumatics to make our monsters mouths open we painted and decorated them with lots of things here are some of our monsters.

Our new science topic

This is our new science topic on the sun and shadows. On the table there are two torches and a lot of objects. You have to shine the torches on the objects to make shadows.

There is also some books about the sun and shadows.

UPDATE ON OUR PLANTS!!!

The celery was dyed red, which meant the tubes had sucked up red dye and water.

The inside of the celery was green which also meant that only the tubes sucked up the red food couloring.

Science

in Science we are doing an experiment that what will happen to the celery when we put red dye with water in a pot with the celery in.

This morning we did our year 3 class assembly and the whole school (including parents) came to watch it .We succeeded to glory!!!Our main topic was India.But we had done all that last term!

Y3 an assembly this morning and it went very well!!!Last term our main topic was chembakolli, a village in India.We had lots of speechs about the topic.We also wrote to our faourite writers.
one of our classmates read her letter to Francesca simon and someone else read one to charlie higson and a nother classmate wrote one to Michal Murpurgo.

My favourite part of the assembly was when I went up and told them about Micheal Morpurgo and my letter and the bollywood dance.

This morning we did our class Assembly it was about chembakolli wordles and writing letters. Afterwards everybody went to there mums and they said we had done a brilliant job

Today it was year three's assembly.We had so much fun!It included dancing,talking and reading.We had so much dancing.

this morning our assembly was about india and writing to our favourite authours.Some of us did a indian dance called the bollywood dance.It was very exiting and everybody clapped and they laughed when we try to move our head.

On Friday 24Th April 2009 Y3 had our class assembly.we first said namastay which means hello in India. Are favourite thing was the Bollywood dancing.

year 3 did a class Assembly it went very well !!!! we included a Indian dance and Indian henna drawings we looked at a village in India called chembakollli we actually got real henna on our hands. in English we wrote to some authors some of us got replies these are the authors that replied Michal Murpurgo and Francesca Simon.

hi its me I'm going tell you about our class assembly. We we learned about a small village in Chembakolli and how it is very different to Putney . we made made posters aboutchembakolli they were about daily life, work, school, tea, health,festivals and celebrations. Some people in our class did a Indian dance i did the dance too also it was to indian music. We also got real henna on our hands. We tried dahl and chappaite. We wrote letters to our authers and some people have replies already!!!!!!!!!!
